I am delighted to welcome readers to this first issue of 2013. There are several areas where changes are afoot: First, we report on the so-called ‘Jackson Reforms’ which are designed to reduce the costs associated with litigation. The good news for readers is that the reforms will only apply in the Technology and Construction Court ‘where at the date of the first case management conference the sums in dispute in the proceedings exceed £2,000,000 excluding interest and costs except where the court so orders’.
