The World list of scientific periodicals is almost a Domesday Book of scientific activity. Its silent pages record both the volume of world literature and the efforts which are being made to make it available in the United Kingdom. A comparison of the entries in the second (1934) and third (1952) editions provides some data as to how and to what extent the picture has changed between 1933 and 1950.
