Tour 1, made up of 42 delegates from the conference, headed for the Moorlands of Lancashire. The tour was led by Dr Andy Hughes (Atkins) and Dr Chris Parks (United Utilities), who had a wealth of local knowledge on the area and dams which were to be the main feature of the Moorlands tour. Andy and Chris were supported throughout the tour by other representatives from United Utilities who accompanied the group on the visit.
