A study was conducted on the cushion properties of polyurethane foam-in-place materials by the compression test, mechanical model analysis and the finite-element simulation method from both micro and macro perspectives. The results show that the value of the elastic modulus obtained by the finite-element simulation method is similar to that determined by the analytical method of mechanical model, and the experimental stress–strain curves basically correspond to the finite-element simulation curves. Additionally, the process of compressive deformation concerning the micro model of polyurethane foam-in-place materials and the deformation mechanism were analyzed by the finite-element simulation method.
