Faustmann continues to yield

The articles in this issue of the Journal of Forest Economics were among those presented at the Third International Faustmann Symposium: “Forest Economics in a Dynamic and Changing World.” This Symposium celebrated the 160th anniversary of the publication of Martin Faustmann’s 1849 paper, “Berechnung des Wertes welchen Waldboden sowie noch nicht haubare Holzbestande fur die Waldwirschaft besitzen” (Calculation of the Value which Forest Land and Immature Stands Possess for Forestry) in Allgemeine Forst- und Jagd-Zeitung (General Journal of Forestry and Hunting).
