Graphical solutions are provided for determining the geosynthetic tensile force required for the stability of cover systems. The graphs are based on force equilibrium solutions and are presented using dimensionless axes and parameters. Solutions are provided that allow upper-bound and lower-bound estimates to be made for the tensile force in the geosynthetics required for stability of cover systems.
