New twin-shear unified strength criterion Available to Purchase

In this paper, by modifying the relationship between shear stress τ and normal stress σ on the plane subjected to twin-shear (T-S) stresses and the adverse judgement conditions of T-S stresses combination, a new T-S unified strength criterion is proposed, which can reflect the mechanical properties of frozen soil under high confining pressure. All the existing classical T-S strength criteria are special cases of the new strength criterion and the strength variation rule of frozen mixed soil is verified and predicted by this new criterion. In general, the proposed criterion is of clear physical concept and wide prospect of application.
