Plates and Beams on Elastic Foundations–Linear and Non-Linear Behaviour

Plates and beams on elastic continuum are analysed using the finite element method. The horizontal contact pressures at the interface between structure and foundations have been incorporated in the analysis and the effects due to separation of contact surfaces due to uplift have also been investigated.

Des plaques et des poutres sur un milieu continu élastique sont analysées en utilisant la méthode à élément fini. Les pressions de contact horizontal à l'interface entre la structure et les fondations ont été incorporées dans l'analyse et les effets dûs à la séparation des surfaces de contact dûe à la sous-pression ont aussi été examinés.
