In Table 2 the constant m should be negative – that is, −0·95 and −1·05 for strip and circular footings respectively (not 0·95 and 1·05 as shown).

Equation 16 should read v_u,cons = [U (v_{u,cons_max} − v_u)] + v_u (not v_u,cons = Uv_{u,cons_max} as shown).

The vertical axis labels for Figs 15a and 15b should read G = (v_u,cons−v_u)/(v_{u,cons_max}−v_u) (not G = v_u,cons/v_{u,cons_max} as shown).

The authors apologise to the readers of Géotechnique for these mistakes in the original paper.
