Two-dimensional ground-water flow is examined using a resistance network. Particular attention is drawn to the accurate representation of the conditions on the boundaries of the media. A semi-automatic method for determining the position of the free-water surface is described in detail. The following extensions of the analogue approach are also considered: time variant problems, automatic transistor switching and three-dimensional appli- cations.
