A series of studies is described in which the influence of various mineralogical components of the soil on cement stabilization were investigated. Explanations are advanced for the changes in physical properties and the development of strength in compacted mixtures.

It is shown that a knowledge of soil composition can be used to predict successful stabilization.

On décrit une série d'études faites sur l'influence des divers composants minéralogiques du sol sur la stabilisation du ciment. On propose des explications sur les changements des propriétés physiques et le développement de la résistance dans des mélanges compactés.

On montre qu'une connaissance de la composition du sol peut être utilisée pour prédire une stabilisation réussie.
