This note presents an energy-based isotropic compression relationship for cement-admixed soil. By assuming that the rate of destructuration is proportional to the rate of plastic work done during loading for a given soil, a relationship between the structure and the change in specific volume is derived. An approximate relationship is also derived for the case when the swelling index of the structured soil is small. By using experimental data, the main assumption introduced for deducing the relationship is validated.
