This study aims to address research gaps in this area by examining the relationships between generative artificial intelligence–enabled dynamic capabilities (GAI-DC), bricolage strategy (BS), circular supply chain innovation (CSCI) and sustainable supply chain resilience (SSCRes) in the small and medium enterprises retailing sector.
To test the direct and indirect relationships within the model, dynamic capabilities theory was used as a theoretical framework. A self-administered questionnaire was developed to collect cross-sectional data, yielding 249 responses from various organizational levels within these establishments. All necessary tests, such as validity and reliability, were conducted using partial least squares structural equation modeling, and the results were analyzed.
All hypotheses were supported, confirming that BS and CSCI serially mediate the relationship between GAI-DC and SSCRes.
This study identified a wide range of practical contributions that would enhance the sustainability and resilience of supply chains.
Based on this, pioneering and innovative theoretical and practical contributions have been made in the context of sustainable supply chain management.
