The current study seeks to determine the impact of green transformational leadership (GTL) on employee performance in the Indian manufacturing sector. The study also aims to investigate the mediation effect of organisational citizenship behavior and green team on GTL and employee performance.
Structural equation modeling analysis has been used to examine the effect of GTL on employee performance. The present study has collected 401 data from the employees of the Indian manufacturing sector.
The findings indicate a significant relationship between the GTL and employee performance. In the case of mediation analysis, organization citizenship behaviour and green team acts as a mediator between all GTL and employee performance.
Indian manufacturing organizations can enhance sustainability by investing in leadership development, empowering staff and fostering a culture of organizational citizenship behavior, thereby maximizing workforce potential and achieving performance excellence.
The current work examines the effect of GTL on employee performance in the Indian manufacturing sector using structural equation modelling analysis, which can be considered the original contribution.
