Climate change forces humanity to reevaluate its activities, use natural resources more efficiently, and minimize waste. More attention is beginning to be paid to the rational use of available resources, even more so if it is necessary waste material. This is also the case with sheep’s wool unsuitable for textile purposes. The presented mini-review offers information on the research and application of sheep’s wool directly in the agricultural sector over the last 15 years. The use of wool as fertilizer, geotextiles, mulching materials, and substrates for growing some plants is analyzed. Wool application strengths and weaknesses, opportunities, and threats to wool production are summarized. The anticipated directions of future research are briefly outlined.
