A concrete jetty with frost damage

A mass-concrete jetty by the Baltic Sea was inspected because its surface had deteriorated. The observations suggest freezing and thawing as the obvious cause of damage. As an introduction and for comparison, some examples of frost damage to concrete in Denmark are described.
