Summary:
This paper gives the practical engineer a brief and somewhat unusual approach to the theory of prestressed concrete design, and thence develops the formulae essential to design.
Analysis of the stresses in a designed section then follows, and the important moment-stress diagram is illustrated. The latter will be of particular interest to field engineers.
