The bearing strength of concrete loaded through rigid plates

Approximate expressions are developed for the bearing strength of concrete members loaded through rigid plates. These expressions predict the strengths for some 230 tests in which the loading geometry, the size of specimen, and the type and strength of the concrete were varied.
