Anchorage zone stresses in axially loaded post-tensioned members of uniform rectangular cross-section are determined by using a finite element procedure for the elastic analysis of three-dimensional solids. Particular attention is paid to the distributions of bursting stresses for a wide range of concentration ratios between the dimensions of the anchor plate and the cross-section of the member. The results are compared with those predicted by conventional methods.
