In a previous paper relationships between moment and average curvature were developed for prestressed sections subjected to constant moment. The variation of stiffness due to concrete tension between cracks was taken into account. These relationships are now used to determine the moment-load and load-deflection curves for continuous beams up to the onset of concrete crushing. The results of an experimental programme on two-span continuous beams are presented and show close agreement with theoretical results.
