This research studied the shear transfer in fibre-reinforced lightweight concrete. Tests were carried out on nine series of initially cracked push-off specimens to assess the effectiveness of steel fibres in combination with continuous bar reinforcement in enhancing the shear transfer behaviour. The major parameters included compressive strength of concrete, volume fraction of fibres and the number of continuous bar reinforcements across the shear plane. Two general formulas for shear transfer strength of fibre-reinforced lightweight concrete are also proposed.
