Evidence that the construction sector is aware of sustainability issues may be found in the large number of tools and methodologies that exist to perform sustainability evaluation. The great majority centre on environmental parameters and only in a few cases are economic and social components studied. Within the sector, it is the industrial building that is the least familiar with sustainability, in an area where tools and methodologies for practical applications hardly exist at all. A methodology for sustainability evaluation that is applied to industrial buildings is proposed in this work. It not only takes account of environmental parameters but also examines economic and social ones, in order to generate a sustainability index value for industrial buildings.
