International collaboration in accelerated pavement testing

This Paper describes developments leading up to a joint international fullscale experiment in the field of pavement engineering, conducted under the auspices of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development. The objetives of the experiment are detailed and an overview of the principal results is presented. Finally, the possible implications of the results for the UK, and the benefits of such international co-operation are noted.
