Papers published in Water Management are eligible for awards from the Institution of Civil Engineers. Papers from any ICE journal can be nominated for several awards. In addition, each journal has awards dedicated to their specific subject area.
On Friday 5 October 2007, outgoing ICE president Quentin Leiper presented awards to the following papers published in Water Management in 2006. The editorial panel nominated their best papers and an awards committee chaired by John Burland allocated the awards.
The Robert Alfred Carr Prize, presented for the best paper on water engineering, has been presented to: Lin B., Wicks J., Falconer R., and Adams K.
