There have been a number of books recently published on the testing of software systems and the impact of system failures on their users. In that respect, this book is particularly timely and welcome.
What this text does is to introduce the readers to TestFrame, which is a method that allows organizations to develop and execute their texts in a structured manner. It is not a new idea and is one that Logica began to experiment with some 12 or so years ago. Its development in that period has taken into account advances in machines and in software engineering. One such advance in the system was that of the change in the approach to service testing as an ongoing process that required regular updates.
The result of these new techniques and requirements have led Logica to look anew at TestFrame. This book explains the resulting system and introduces the recent support given to “daily test practice”. He covers this in a comprehensive manner including all the important information for such a testing regime.
This is a useful book which can only benefit any organisation or indeed any researcher who sees TestFrame as a way ahead to a more structured testing strategy.
