Any book that has both “lean” and “enterprise” in its title is bound to attract attention particularly when it is related to software development. It also has “agile” in it and agile methods and techniques have already made an impact on software production. The authors are sensible in assessing the challenges when we combine agile techniques to a search for enterprise.

They have formulated a way of combining all these techniques and conceptions into one. They believe that it is possible to have a combined “Lean‐Agile” approach in software development and at the same time improve software business value.

We are told by its publishers that the authors are three proficient Lean software experts who are able to use their own skills and experience. What readers need to know to succeed with Lean‐Agile developments is presented in some detail.

They describe both Agile techniques and Lean software and offer advice and strategies for project leaders to transfer them rapidly and successfully to their developments with the potential for managing them more effectively.

Whilst these techniques have shown already their effectiveness their combination for many developers is not wholly proven. This book will help software developers achieve the enterprise agility that is sought in all our projects.
