Chartership
For those who are supervising route A candidates for chartership, the LA's Personnel, Training and Education Group is offering two half-day seminars, which should give a chance to exchange information and clarify problems and queries about procedure with representatives from the LA. Both sessions are at LA headquarters in Ridgmount Street, London, and dates are as follows:
Friday, 18 June 1999, 1.30 p.m.-5 p.m.; Friday, 19 November 1999, 9 a.m.-12.30 p.m.
To book a place, contact: Judith Cattermole, at Middlesex University, Bounds Green Road, London N11 2NQ. Tel:0181 362 5223; e-mail: j.cattermole@mdx.ac.uk
At the same time, PTEG is trying to develop the formal support which is offered to route B candidates towards the charter. If you are interested in being part of a support network for these candidates, contact: Sheren Burton at the Royal College of Medicine. Tel: 0171 290 3907 or e-mail: sheron.burton@roysocmed.ac.ukIdeally, mentors for route B should be chartered by the same route themselves, but anyone interested in mentoring aspiring professionals would be welcome.
