This issue constitutes what we consider our "conference issue" with the summer conference reports. We have many contributors who have shared the burden of writing up salient and descriptive points about specific programs. Our conference reports are unique – they are not the anecdotal style of blogs and informal communication but instead they are significant analyses of targeted programs we think demonstrate the intensity of technology in libraries today. Librarians have traveled a fair amount in recent months sometimes under adverse and trying conditions as global security continues to be challenged. More conferences will be reported in subsequent issues as we return from IFLA in Korea.

You will find conference reports in this issue from:

  • American Society of Engineering Education.

  • American Library Association.

  • Area Studies Symposium.

  • Campus of the Future.

The features are equally wide-ranging and examine different contexts of blogging and RSS feeds, and two different solutions for improved web accessibility. We continue to seek submissions from you and your colleagues who are doing innovative practices that utilize technology. Write us and share all– our readers tell us that they really enjoy pieces that contain creative solutions to problems ubiquitous to libraries.

The deadlines for the next volume year are as Table I.

With best wishes,
