Findings

The increased role of technology in the cataloging, classification and indexing functions of technical services remains challenging in many libraries. Special and ongoing staff training is necessary to promote new procedures and efficiencies. Computer support, uninterrupted power supplies, and other issues complicate the progress and force libraries to create new solutions to these and other dilemmas.
