It is very unfortunate that Steve Jobs (for a complete cover‐to‐cover magazine story on Apple’s Steve Jobs, see Bloomberg Business Week, October 10‐16, 2011) will not see the true penetration of tablets and mobile computing in everyones lives. Not suprizingly, this month’s columns major focuses are on social networking and tablets and mobile computing. Those libraries that embrace these technologies will be the ones that provide the greatest relevancy for their users and make the anytime anyplace library a reality.
