This paper aims to present a review of rural women and their activities in using digital spaces, especially libraries and resource centers from the internet and cyberspace in the past few months.
Literature is reviewed on women and rural libraries and the way they are opportune to use the facilities. The advantages they get from digital spaces and how it empowers them are highlighted.
Rural women use digital spaces for their further education and that of their children as well. The benefits derived from digital spaces make it imperative for provisions to be made for them in the rural areas.
The importance of women’s activities and their economic and socioeconomic empowerment is emphasized among others as well as the role of libraries and the success stories therewith.
