This paper aims to document and analyze the key insights from the 10th International Conference on ICT for Intelligent Systems (ICTIS 2025), with a focus on the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies in library and information systems. It highlights the relevance of emerging intelligent systems in addressing the evolving challenges of the library and information science (LIS) sector.
This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, synthesizing content from keynote sessions, technical presentations, workshops and panel discussions held during the hybrid-format ICTIS 2025 conference. It emphasizes contributions relevant to library technologies and AI-enabled systems, capturing global perspectives from academia, industry and publishing professionals.
ICTIS 2025 showcased transformative applications of AI, quantum computing, machine learning and ethical publishing within the LIS context. Keynotes and sessions emphasized open-source AI, digital preservation, adversarial robustness and smart infrastructure. The conference enabled international networking and interdisciplinary collaboration, with significant takeaways for modernizing library services, enhancing metadata discovery and securing digital collections through intelligent automation.
