Managing the National Bibliography in a Non‐governmental Institution Available to Purchase

In Denmark the National Bibliography is produced in a non‐governmental institution, the Danish Library Centre. The task is defined precisely in a contract with the Ministry of Culture, and the co‐operation with the interested parties from the library environment and the publishing environment is described. Managing the task in the Danish Library Centre is included in a quality‐management system, certified according to the ISO 9001 standard. Producing the National Bibliography is expected to be called for tender in the mid‐1990s.
