Sixteen major corporations in Norway and Sweden have formed an “innovation cluster” focusing on environment-friendly energy technology.

The initiative meets the need for a collective body capable of joined-up thinking and of recognizing the commercial potential in efforts to combat global warming. The companies involved include StatoilHydro, Statkraft, Aker Solutions,Norsk Hydro and Norske Skog of Norway and Vattenfall, SAAB, Volvo, SCA and Stora Enso of Sweden.
