Micron Technology, Inc., has announced a supplier agreement with Mintech Semiconductors Ltd, a semiconductor die assessor and custom packaging company. Micron selected Mintech as a supplier of Micron’s bare die products throughout Europe. Mintech offers products in either die or wafer form as well as custom packaging to meet customers' specific design requirements.
Designers who wish to maximize their board space prefer a small form factor solution, such as bare die. The design flexibility available with bare die devices make it an attractive memory choice for customized applications, and contributes to its growing use in consumer and wireless applications.
Target applications for bare die include MP3 players, digital TVs, PDAs,set-top boxes, and wireless chipsets.
