The PCIM in Nuremberg is Europe's leading Exhibition and Conference for latest developments in the fields of power electronics, intelligent motion and power quality. The focus emphasizes on the connection between development and application as well as between science and industry.
The PCIM Exhibition and especially the PCIM Conference is world-wide known and recognized due to its excellent quality and international reputation. The 217 conference presentations are first-time presentations and were evaluated from the advisory board under strict criteria. As a start of the conference, 21 one-day seminars ("Professional Expert Training Courses") will take place on 18th and 19th May 2003. The conference participants will have the chance to contact the international conference speakers during the PCIM. Conference speakers from 31 countries will attend the PCIM conference. The internationality is also reflected at the PCIM exhibition: the PCIM visitors in 2002 came from 49 countries, 42.6 per cent of the visitors came from abroad.

Panel discussions about latest Power Electronic topics and vendor presentations by PCIM exhibitors will take place at the forum in the exhibition hall – free of charge for visitors, conference participants and exhibitors.
For the first time PCIM VIP-visitors have the chance to use the valet parking service. PCIM exhibitors have the possibility to announce their most important customers as VIP-visitors. Those visitors get beside a personal invitation also the possibility to drive up to the entrance of the exhibition hall, hand in their car and keys at the VIP pavilion and pick it up again after the exhibition at the exit. The VIP-visitors profit from the fast and comfortable access to the exhibition.
