New school's resource pack from Seafish

A new resource pack for pupils aged 14 to 16 entitled Fish. A whole New Product, based on a real example of a new product development scenario, has recently been produced. Linked specifically to the national curriculum for design and technology in England and Wales at key stage 4, standard grade home economics in Scotland and Northern Ireland, the pack provides a comprehensive view of new product development from initial ideas to production and product launch. Teachers'notes, study cards and a poster are included. Working through the pack students are encouraged to follow good practice as used by the industry and to learn more about commercial production including an analysis of food consumption trends,conducting market research, selecting appropriate processing and cooking methods and defining product specification.
