Immunisation statistics

In England 94.5 per cent of children had been immunised against diphtheria,tetanus and polio by their second birthday and 87 per cent against measles,mumps and rubella. About 257,000 school leavers received reinforcing doses against diphtheria, tetanus and polio. About 79,000 tuberculin skin tests were administered, mostly to children aged 10 to 15 and roughly 12 per cent tested positive.
