How is it that in the second half of the twentieth century, a large proportion of the population is blissfully indifferent and totally unaware of the health hazards caused by faulty eating habits? How is it that so many people have to have remedial treatment to either increase, or more usually to decrease their weight? Does this reflect a lack of knowledge of nutrition by the public in general?
