Salford University recently held a seminar on computers andnutrition to highlight the invaluable help microcomputers can give in maintaining, accessing and manipulating nutritional data. The seminar also provided marketing stategists and product development managers who attended the seminar the opportunity of investigating future computing needs in industrial nutrition at a time when government draft guidelines on nutritional labelling are being discussed and health conscious consumers are demanding that food manufacturers take a critical look at the ingredients and additives in their products.
