IFST membership scope widened

The Institute of Food and Technology has taken an important new step towards its goal of becoming the professional body for all food professionals.

At its AGM, a new membership grade, Executive Associate, was created. This new grade is aimed at those who have attained a level of responsibility and authority in a food related vocation, who are likely to be middle management or above, within food or food-related industries, academia, research institutions,trade associations, food journalism, food publishing, or other food-related activities. An Executive Associate member will be entitled to use that title and to use after his or her name the initials "IFST (Exec)".
