Health Professional Council

The Health Professional Council (HPC) has replaced the Council for Professions Supplementary to Medicine (CPSM) and will be responsible for regulating the following 12 professions:

• 1.

  arts therapists;

• 2.

  chiropodists;

• 3.

  clinical scientists;

• 4.

  dieticians;

• 5.

  medical laboratory scientific officers;

• 6.

  occupational therapists;

• 7.

  orthoptists;

• 8.

  paramedics;

• 9.

  physiotherapists;

• 10.

  prosthetists and orthotists;

• 11.

  radiographers;

• 12.

  speech and language therapists.
