The food chain

In June, the food chain:

• delivered 1,892 meals and grocery boxes worth £6,767.15;

• helped 28 people to learn about good nutrition through our eating positively classes; and

• for four weeks from the end of May piloted the central purchasing of food for Sunday meals service. This was introduced to save money, increase efficiencies and reduce the burden on lead cooks who currently shop for their own ingredients.
