Europe's biggest carbon black facility

A recently‐completed extension of thermal black production capacity at the Sevalco plant at Avonmouth has made Europe independent of the United States for the supply of medium thermal black. Previously, production of thermal black at Avonmouth met British demand but with too small a surplus to satisfy European industry, which had to import it from America.
