Cornerstone Logic, a software and engineering company, has announced the release of a version 3.20 of MSDS Unlimited, Windows-based software developed to make authoring and tracking material safety data sheets (MSDS) easier. Improvements in the software include a better user interface, more labelling capabilities, fields to track stock numbers and direct connections to the Internet. The improvements are a result of user feedback about the popular MSDS software program that already included modules for authoring, document control, language translation, and point-and-click standard phrase usage. MSDS Unlimited is available for Windows 3.1 and Windows 95, and Windows NT.

MSDS Unlimited apparently simplifies MSDS authoring through its easy-to-use point-and-click interface. Users can select standard phrases to use in the MSDS by simply clicking on the desired phrase. The program will also screen phrases to ensure they are translatable into the desired language. With the customer database module, it is easy to determine who has a specific version of an MSDS and maintain document control for ISO 9000.

MSDS Unlimited easily creates labels for drums or sample bottles. You can use the label module to create workplace safety and information signs. The label module links to specific fields in the MSDS, but is also flexible enough to support queries,drum weights, bar codes, and graphics. The program is fully networkable and Cornerstone Logic claim they can help you import existing mainframe or other data into the MSDS Unlimited system.
