New from adhesive specialist, Devcon UK, is a general purpose threadlocker for all types of straight and tapered threads.
The product is a medium strength, medium viscosity sealant that prevents loosening of parts through vibration, shock or flexing.
Called Hydraulic Sealant 2569, the compound is designed for use with straight threads up to 50mm diameter. It mixes well with hydraulic fluids and will not clog filters and valves.
Suitable for applications over the temperature range 60 to +149°C, the sealant features a gap filling capability of 0.25mm and a shear strength of 11Mpa. It is claimed to demonstrate excellent resistance to solvents and attack by corrosion.
