Clean Seal

Keywords Structure-flex, Sealing, Valves

Continuing its history of innovation, Structure-flex has launched a new spherical disc valve which claims many advantages over those already on the market.

Clean Seal (Plate 5) is a three inch BSP valve which, according to its manufacturers, offers considerable cost savings over traditional valves, plus it is said to be lightweight, can be operated single handed and is lockable.

The valve is a combination of the more common butterfly and ball valves. This subsequently is thought to create a self cleaning action on sealing.

Clean Seal can be used on 1,000 litre IBCs and is believed to be particularly suitable for liquids with a tendency to clog such as adhesives, inks, paints and oils.

"We are already putting Clean Seal on our popular System Eclipse,'FlexiFold' containers and these have been well received by customers", said Richard Maun, general manager of Structure-flex's Container Division. "The new valve is another example of the innovation that has typified Structure-flex over its 30 year history."
