Following the successful launch of Grant’s new Optima series of water baths and the Prima series of block heaters, its comprehensive laboratory equipment range is progressively being restyled. The company’s well-known,classic JB unstirred water bath series has been the first to offer a contemporary new look including colour co-ordination at no extra cost to the customer! Also restyled has been the PB 1 transparent unstirred water bath(Plate 4).

Lately, some important developments have taken place at Grant with the adoption of “lean manufacturing” with investment in a production“flow-line” for the JB baths and Optima series controllers. This best practice introduction has simplified the quality audit trail and is said to have significantly reduced delivery times to the customer.
