Biggest European Coatings SHOW successful
Excellent mood among the some 26,000 trade visitors and 962 exhibitors.
Sustainability drives the coatings world.

Another very successful European Coatings SHOW and CONGRESS ends after four days of lively exhibition activity and top-class knowledge transfer. With 962 exhibitors from 42 countries in seven exhibition halls and around 26,000 trade visitors from more than 100 nations, it is the world’s biggest and most important trade show for the production of high-quality coatings, paints,sealants, construction chemicals and adhesives. Europe’s biggest coatings congress, which took place partly parallel to the trade show, attracted more than 650 participants to Nürnberg from 37 countries. This year’s SHOW and CONGRESS clearly showed that the trend to sustainability is a major innovation driver for the paint and coatings industry. The organizers of the European Coatings SHOW and PAINTINDIA also announced the strengthening of their worldwide coatings cooperation by signing further contracts during the show.
The next European Coatings SHOW takes place in the Exhibition Centre Nuremberg from 21 to 23 April 2015.
SafeCom regulatory conference 2013 – a real success
The prestigious SafeCom regulatory conference, which is the UK’s largest chemical regulatory conference, returned for its ninth consecutive year on 7 March and once again was a huge success. SafeCom 2013 attracted global interest,with over 130 attendees including stakeholders from broad industrial sectors.
The SafeCom regulatory conference provided the ideal networking platform, as well as the opportunity to review the latest and emerging chemical regulatory changes affecting the industry. With a range of presentations offering guidance to support delegates in their respective roles, SafeCom 2013’s programme focused on CLP/GHS, REACH and in particular the extended SDS, transport regulations and the new biocidal product regulation.
In addition, the conference hosted an industry related exhibition, providing attendees the opportunity to review the latest advances in services, hardware and software that support the industry sector.
According to delegate feedback, the highlight of the conference was the attention to emergency response. Of particular interest, was an insight into what important information should ideally be included on a safety data sheet when dealing with medical emergencies through the National Poisons Information Service (NPIS).

Plan now to attend the premier event for Electrocoaters – ECOAT14 will be held 22-24 April 2014 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida.
Presented by The Electrocoat Association and Products Finishingmagazine, the objective of the conference is to market the expansion of electrocoat technology through the education of finishing industry personnel and those interested in the technology, both as a coating application and also a primer of choice for many other topcoat finishes.

Call for speakers
The Conference Steering Committee is accepting abstracts for keynote and technical presentations. Conference speakers will focus on a multitude of relevant topics within keynote addresses, basic sessions and interactive workshops. The program will emphasize the efficiencies of electrocoating, from its cost saving advantages through precise film build and transfer efficiency to its environmentally-friendly attributes for our industry. It will also contain topics of interest to the manufacturing industry as a whole.
