An oil‐modified polyurethane alkyd suitable for rapid drying enamels requiring high standards of durability, toughness and colour retention is announced by the Surface Coating Resins Division of Synthetic Resins. Marketed under the trade name Beckurance 502, the resin is recommended for use in formulating enamels and varnishes for household, machinery and marine applications, and is particularly suitable for floor varnishes and the coating of kitchen furniture.
